Refund & Returns Policy
At Alira – Boutique, we want you to feel wonderful in everything you buy from us. If something isn't quite right, we're here to make it easy to put it right.
This policy explains how returns, refunds and exchanges work. It sits alongside — and never replaces — the rights you have under the consumer laws that apply to you.
Our 30-Day Return Promise
You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to request a return for a change of mind.
To be eligible, the item must be:
- Unworn, unwashed and unused
- In its original condition, with all tags still attached
- Returned in its original packaging where possible
- Free from signs of wear, marks, makeup, perfume or pet hair
We inspect every returned item, and we may decline a refund on anything that doesn't meet these conditions.
How to Start a Return
Please contact us before sending anything back. Returns posted without prior authorisation can be delayed or may not be processed.
- Email us at info@alira-boutique.com with your order number and the reason for your return.
- We'll reply within 1–2 business days with return instructions and the correct return address.
- Pack your item securely and send it back using a tracked postage service. We recommend keeping your tracking number until your refund is confirmed.
Return Shipping Costs

Change of mind: you're responsible for the cost of return postage. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items: we cover return postage in full (see below).
We're unable to refund return postage for change-of-mind returns, and we recommend a tracked service, as we can't take responsibility for items lost on their way back to us.
Refunds
Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll email you to confirm the outcome.
If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear after it's been processed, as the exact timing depends on your bank or card provider.
Exchanges
The fastest way to get the size or colour you'd prefer is to return your original item for a refund and place a new order. This means you won't miss out if the piece you want sells out while your return is in transit.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or you've received the wrong product, please contact us at info@alira-boutique.com within 7 days of delivery and include:
- Your order number
- A short description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item and, where relevant, the packaging
We'll make it right with a replacement or a full refund, including any return postage, and we'll cover the cost of sending a correct item back to you.
Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and other reasons, the following can't be returned or refunded for change of mind:
- Final sale and clearance items (clearly marked at checkout)
- Intimate apparel and swimwear
- Pierced jewellery and earrings
- Gift cards
- Items returned outside the 30-day window or not in original condition
This does not affect your rights for items that are faulty or not as described.
Order Cancellations & Changes
If you need to change or cancel an order, please email us as soon as possible and we'll do everything we can to help. Once an order has been dispatched, we're unable to cancel it — but you're welcome to return it under this policy once it arrives.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or replaces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. If an item has a major failure — for example, it's significantly different from its description or unsafe — you're entitled to a refund or replacement, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For minor faults, we may choose to repair, replace or refund the item.
Customers shopping from the United Kingdom, the United States and elsewhere are also covered by the consumer protection laws that apply in their country.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received a refund you're expecting:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your card provider — it can take a few business days for a refund to post.
- If you've done both and still haven't received it, email us at info@alira-boutique.com and we'll look into it straight away.
